I help children fall in love with English on their 11+ journey to exam success!
Education is not just about grades – it is key to helping your child understand their potential and embrace life’s opportunities with more confidence and joy!
Hi, I’m Clare, and I divide my time between South West London and Devon. With over 10 years of school teaching experience, most of which were in London’s top independent schools including, Thomas’s London Day School, Fulham and Putney High Junior School, my tuition is for academic focused students who tend to be hard on themselves. They grapple with an invisible barrier – a fear of failure. I gently help students face their fears and build real confidence in their English abilities, well beyond the English National Curriculum.
I’ll show you how we can help your child handle setbacks and keep going by believing in themselves. Success starts with creating a space where your child can relax and express themselves.
Why Families Love My Tuition:
My tailored 11+ English preparation combines academic challenge, empathy and a calm, confidence-building approach to prepare children to thrive in competitive 11 Plus English entrance exams.
My goal is to help children prepare within a realistic timeframe, rather than rushing to merely meet minimum standards. This quality is often missed in ‘basic’ tutoring.
While my private tuition provides relaxed guidance, success often requires stepping outside of our comfort zone and as such, my private tuition is not for everyone. While I’m especially passionate about empowering girls to believe in their strengths and chase their dreams, I also support many boys in achieving their own success.
I help children from both state and private schools gain admission to top UK schools including: King’s College Wimbledon, Emanuel, Wimbledon High, Francis Holland, Putney High, Alleyn’s School, Latymer Edmonton, Hampton School, Sutton, Tiffin, Dame Alice Owen’s, Latymer Upper, Kingston Grammar, Colchester County High, Whitgift, Winchester, St. Paul’s, Brighton College and Dulwich College.
Aside from my work, I love beaches, well-behaved dogs, books and good coffee!
If you are ready to help your child excel with my English tuition, I would love to hear from you.
