The Process

How It Works

Step 1: An Exploratory Call

During this relaxed parent conversation, Clare will take the time to understand your child's goals and whether Creative Hare can help. If you are interested we will also discuss whether an Initial English Review would be helpful for your child.

Step 2: Initial English Review

An appropriate English paper will be sent to you for your child to complete independently at home. Once it has been returned, Clare will carefully review the paper and prepare an analysis of the results, drawing on her experience as a teacher and 11+ specialist. During the follow-up call, we will discuss your child’s strengths, opportunities for refinement, and whether tutoring would be the most beneficial next step. If you decide to proceed with tution, the Initial English Review fee will be fully credited towards your child's tuition.

Step 3: A Confident Start

Register for Clare’s 11+ Creative Writing Programme to secure your child’s place, with two start dates available in October or January, giving your child a confident start they will love. If you choose private tuition, Clare will personally introduce you to an excellent tutor and guide the next steps with ease. We work with a limited number of private tutors and families to ensure a high standard of care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions you might have around tutoring

Does my child need private 11+ English tuition?

Many families begin by preparing independently which is valuable. However, competitive English exams require nuanced development of skills and guidance aligned with specific schools. Without this, progress often plateaus.

When should my child start tutoring?

Whether you have a tutor and when you start is a personal choice.

For competitive school entrance exams, most children benefit from a structured 9-12 month progression, allowing skills to develop gradually and confidently.

Do you have tutors with SEN experience?

Yes. We have  tutors who are experts in a patient and individualised teaching approach for students with SEN (dyslexia, ADHD, and autism).

Tutors are passionate about engaging and empowering children in the learning process.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a lesson will be charged at the full lesson fee.
